Ader's Tavern, a part of the neighborhood. A tavern is a place of business where people gather to drink alcoholic beverages, and  more than likely, also served food. The word is derived from the Latin  word taberna, and Greek ταβέρνα/ taverna, whose original meaning was a shed or workshopToday's tavern is just what it was originally intended to be, a place where friends meet, to socialize, to enjoy a cold beer or drink and food.

ADER'S HISTORY

George Ader - Circa, April 1959

George & Madeline Ader were the original owners of Ader's Tavern. The tavern was located one block south of the current location. A new building was constructed circa 1962. George and Madeline lived in a ranch style house attaced to the bar. George died about two years after the new bar was constructed.

Madeline Ader operated the tavern by herself after George's death. For a short while the tavern name changed to East Point Inn but was renamed Ader's Tavern in 1987 when Madeline's

nephew David Young purchased the tavern from her.  David Young remodeled the tavern in 1987. Bruna Devino purchased the tavern from David Young in 1990 and has owned and operated the tavern since then. The tavern was remodeled in 1992 converting the two bedroom residence that was attached into a dinning area and space for a pool table, office and kitchen. A deck was added for outside dinning.

The most recent renovation in 2007 added a commercial kitchen to the side of the building and also increased the seating in the dining room. The deck was covered and smoking is permitted in the summer months when the sides are removed.

Food is available, from a quick snack or lunch and dinner, with many traditional Italian dishes and some home style American platters.
